Behind the Scenes at GPM
All work and no play makes GPM a dull marketing firm. When we can fit it into our busy schedules, we take the time to enjoy each other's company, laugh, play and eat. Xaña calls it "Team Building." We call it having a great time. Take a peek behind the scenes at some of our extracurricular events. Enjoy!
Xana's 40th Birthday Picnic
When you're turning 40, it's difficult to have a team with access to all the stories, tools and technology they need to really embarrass, er, celebrate you on your big day!
We Like to Eat!
Whether we're cooking in our own kitchen or traveling en masse to a local spot, the staff at GPM loves to eat. Birthdays. Special occasions. Just to break the monotony. Whenever we get a chance to get together and chow down, we take it!
Olympics
OK, so there weren't any events you see on the REAL Olympic Games, but we took our competition, including tricycle races, very seriously. It all ended up with serious fun.
Easter Egg Hunt
It's an Annual Event we all look forward to . . . the GPM Easter Egg hunt. We arrive early in the morning, are restricted to the reception area of the office, are each handed a basket and then, WE'RE OFF AND RUNNING. The entire office is filled with hidden eggs containing cash and a few surprises (like an extra paid day off!). Again, Xana calls it a Team Building exercise, but when two GPM'ers are going for the same egg, it's every woman for herself.
Christmas
From the Holiday Door Decorating Contest to gathering around the wassail bowl (ok, bar) at Xana's house for our Christmas party, we love to celebrate the holidays together. (We usually start planning in September.)
Princess and Sophie
Meet Princess (black and white) and Sophie (gray and white), our two rescue cats. You've never met two more fickle felines, but we love sharing our office home with them.
Apple Picking
What better way to celebrate Autumn than with a trip to the apple orchard? Fortunately for us, Kelly's father has a fruit orchard and invited the team over to pick to our heart's content. The kitchen was filled with apple crisp, apple pie and other delights for weeks.
